Grandma’s Summer Survival Review & Giveaway!

Grandma’s Summer Survival Review & Giveaway!

Jewelweed grows wild in close proximity to poison ivy throughout much of the United States. For centuries native American peoples have used Jewelweed (Impatiens Capensis) as a natural preventative and treatment for the itch and rashes of poison ivy, oak and sumac. GRANDMA’S now brings this powerful natural remedy to you! Relieves the itch of poison almost immediately and heals the rash in 3-4 days!

GRANDMA’S Don’t Bug Me Bar is a natural solution to an annoying little critter – the mosquito! Using a special formula of essential oils GRANDMA’S Don’t Bug Me Bar repels mosquitoes effectively without the use of DEET or other chemicals. Pleasant smell. Won’t stain clothing.

I was given the opportunity to review three Grandma’s Pure & Natural Soaps, The Don’t Bug Me, Poison Ivy & Oak Bar as well as the Lye Soap. I felt as though the smell of the soaps was a little overbearing BUT this is just my opinion i have had other’s say they liked the smell of the soaps. My sister used the Poison Ivy Soap on herself because she had been working outside and ended up with Poison Ivy I am sorry to share that she had an extreme allergic reaction to the Poison Ivy Soap and it ended up making her Poison Ivy worse and inflamed. I would like to mention that this is just what happened with our situation it has been proven to help others and everyone’s skin sensitivity is different so it could work perfectly fine for you and you could see results using it. The Lye Soap did help with dry skin and helped clear up my daughters eczema breakout but i wish it came in different smells as it was very strong. The Don’t Bug Me Bar works great for a few hours but does wear off throughout the day i am not sure if you need to use a certain amount of lather to increase the time frame for how long it will work but i will say it was nice for a few hours to not have to spray bug spray all over my family while outside.I would recommend the Don’t Bug Me Bar to help with short term outside outings.

Overall the Grandma’s Pure and Natural Products were okay but not something i would buy again BUT that is just because of our experience. Remember these are just my opinions and other’s may feel the complete opposite so please do give these products a try you never know you may have a better experience!

  3. This is the first review I have read that said they thought the smell of the bars was a little too strong. Thanks for sharing your honest opinion. And like you said, everyone’s skin is different so even though it didn’t work for your family, it can work for others. I will definitely check Grandma’s bars out.
